Handwoven Multicolour Jewel-Tone Merino Wool Triangle Neckerchief
 
This handwoven multicolour triangle neckerchief is woven by Emma Baker on a traditional floor loom in Salisbury, Wiltshire, using fine merino lambswool in navy blue, indigo, teal, mustard yellow and magenta. The pattern moves in bold diagonal bands, each one carrying its own small woven motif in a contrasting colour, so the scarf reads as richly patterned and jewel-toned rather than a simple stripe or check.
 
The combination is vivid and playful without being overwhelming - the deep indigo and teal grounding threads hold the design together, while the mustard, magenta and coral bands bring warmth and energy.
 
It is a scarf that works as a genuine statement piece. Against denim or a plain navy jumper, the full spectrum of colour comes forward. Against a mustard, teal or burgundy knit, one band lifts to the front while the rest sit as harmonious support. Against neutrals - grey, cream or black - the whole colourway reads as a considered, eye-catching accent.
 
How to wear it
Fold it in half along the longest edge to form a strip and wrap it around the neck, knotting or tucking the ends - or tie it loosely at the front for a classic neckerchief look. The tasselled ends give it a relaxed, artisan finish.

Woven from fine merino lambswool, this scarf has a softness that sits comfortably against the neck without itching. Merino gives warmth without bulk, making it as easy to wear indoors over a jumper as it is layered under a coat.
