This snood is woven by Emma Baker on her floor loom in Salisbury, Wiltshire using Organic (GOTS certified) cotton in a checked design of navy blue, pale blue and white. The snood is lined with a fine cream linen fabric - linen is smooth, cool and naturally breathable, making the snood comfortable against the skin in all seasons and giving it a slightly crisper, more structured feel than an unlined snood. At 18.5cm wide it sits neatly at the neck as a slim collar-like snood.
 
Bag-portable and all-season
The slim width and the linen lining mean this snood folds into a compact, flat size that slips easily into a bag. Pull it out when the air conditioning kicks in or the temperature drops, and pop it over your head for immediate neck warmth. Equally at home indoors in winter as on a cool summer evening. 100% natural fibres, entirely wool-free.
 
Two shade variants
There are two variations of this snood, differing in the balance of navy and pale blue: one has a little more navy, giving a richer, deeper character; the other has more pale blue, giving a softer, lighter appearance. Both use the same cream white as the third checked colour.
