A contemporary zig zag designed large handwoven purple scarf woven with a variegated merino and nylon sock wool weft and merino lambswool yarn to create a colour gradient along the length of the scarf.  A deflected doubleweave design has been used which creates a lightweight airy weave so the scarf is perfect for a chilly day worn either outside or inside as a blanket when warmth is required. This shawl has a nice weight and a lovely warmth and would be a perfect luxury gift when you are looking for that unique gift that can’t be found on the high street.

Creation:
This scarf has been woven on my Louet floor loom using an 8 shaft deflected doubleweave pattern. The warp has white, blue, purple and turquoise shades of Lambswool and the weft is a white Lambswool and variegated sock wool. After weaving the scarf has been washed to full and soften the fibres and then gently pressed. 
 
Dimensions:  31cm wide by 170cm long with a 1cm fray detail at each end.

Care:
Wash by hand in cool water with minimal agitation. Do not tumble dry.  Dry naturally and then press.
