What is inkle weaving?
Inkle weaving is one of the oldest forms of band weaving, used for centuries to create strong, decorative woven bands and braids. Emma uses a traditional inkle loom and 4-ply cotton yarn to weave each napkin ring by hand, building up the pattern row by row. The result is a firm, flexible band with a clearly defined woven structure, natural depth of colour, and a weight and texture that cannot be replicated by machine production.

Choose your colour
Purple and teal: A rich, contemporary pairing. The teal and purple tones complement white napkins and neutral table linen particularly well, and work across both casual suppers and more formal dinner settings.  
Red and green: A classic, warm combination with a traditional feel. Wonderful for a Christmas table, but equally at home on a colourful, eclectic dining table year-round.  Select your colour preference from the drop-down menu before adding to cart.
 
The napkins
Depending on stock availability they are either 80% cotton, 20% linen or  100% cotton: A smooth, classic white napkin with a clean finish that presses beautifully. 50cm square - a generous dinner napkin size.

Care
Napkins: Machine washable. Dry naturally and press with an iron when damp for a crisp finish. Both cotton and cotton-linen napkins become softer and improve with repeated washing. 
Napkin rings: Spot clean only if needed. The woven cotton bands are robust but should not be submerged or machine washed.
