This cosmetic bag is handwoven by Emma Baker on a floor loom in Salisbury, Wiltshire. The outer fabric is a doubleweave merino lambswool - a two-layered fabric structure woven on 8 shafts in teal, electric blue, turquoise, orange and yellow. Doubleweave builds two cloth layers simultaneously, producing a fabric with more body and structure than a single-layer alternative. The bag is lined with cotton in a complementary colour.

The five-colour palette - teal, electric blue, turquoise, orange and yellow - sits in the bold, vivid range of Emma’s collection. The blue-to-teal tones work together as a cool, jewel-toned family with the orange and yellow providing warm contrast.
