A handwoven cotton and bamboo infinity cowl in navy, lilac and pink - various colour variants, all-season, made by Emma Baker in Salisbury
This infinity cowl is woven by Emma Baker on a Louet 8-shaft floor loom in Salisbury, Wiltshire using 4-ply cotton and a small amount of bamboo yarn. The bamboo content gives the cowl a slightly smoother, silkier handle than pure cotton, with a subtle natural sheen and natural antibacterial properties. It is sewn with an infinity twist after weaving - a half-twist in the fabric before the ends are joined, creating a flowing drape around the neck. Different colour variants are available; all are in the navy, lilac and pink family. Select your preferred colour from the drop-down before adding to cart.
Cotton and bamboo - why the blend matters
Bamboo fibre has a natural sheen similar to silk, is exceptionally smooth against the skin, and has natural antibacterial properties. In this blend, the cotton provides the structure and breathability; the bamboo adds the smoothness and lustre that makes this cowl feel different from a standard cotton snood. Both fibres are entirely wool-free, making this cowl suitable for people who prefer natural plant-based fibres against their skin.
