Handcrafted on a floor loom using fine merino yarn this handwoven grey scarf is a distinctive and luxury accessory.  Woven with fine merino lambswool and a deflected doubleweave design it is a lightweight yet warm scarf with a beautiful drape.  This scarf has been woven using a deflected doubleweave design which creates a fabric with a striking mosaic style design.  This oversize scarf would be a perfect luxury gift for that someone special who would appreciate a unique one of a kind artisan made accessory.
 
Creation:
The fabric for this shawl was woven on a Louet floor loom using light grey and dark grey and very dark navy fine merino lambswool yarns.  An eight shaft deflected doubleweave design was used.  Once the fabric was woven it was removed from the loom and washed to remove the spinning oils which helps to stabilise to fragile yarn when weaving.  Removal of the spinning oils causes the fabric to full and soften creating a beautifully soft shawl.

Care: 
Wash by hand in cool water with minimal agitation. Do not tumble dry.  Dry naturally and press.
