A handwoven deflected doubleweave mosaic merino scarf in forest green and navy - 208cm long, made by Emma Baker in Salisbury

This scarf is woven by Emma Baker on a floor loom in Salisbury, Wiltshire using a deflected doubleweave mosaic design in fine 2/17nm merino lambswool. The mosaic structure creates a geometric tile pattern across the fabric surface in forest green and navy: the 8-shaft deflected doubleweave builds two cloth layers simultaneously, deflecting the weft threads periodically between the layers to produce clearly defined colour blocks on each face of the cloth.

208cm - a generous scarf length

At 30cm wide and 208cm long this is one of the most generously proportioned scarves in Emma’s collection. Long enough to wrap twice, loop and drape, or wear as a light shoulder wrap. The forest green and navy palette is one of the most versatile in the range: both colours coordinate naturally with charcoal, black, camel, cream, rust and most wardrobe basics, making this a scarf that works year-round rather than seasonally.
