Creation:
The design for this cowl is called a deflected doubleweave which uses 8 shafts of the loom to create a reversible, warm and airy fabric.  Woven with fine merino lambswool it is soft and comfortable.  These cowls are brilliantly versatile, easy to pop over the head when the chill sets in without the bulk of a scarf.  The deflected doubleweave pattern has areas of long warp and weft floats and upon washing a degree of differential shrinkage occurs to create a soft edged mosaic pattern.
