A distinctive luxury handwoven merino wool scarf woven using fine merino lambswool in beige, maroon, burgundy, brown and pink shades.   This scarf is a unique one of a kind, beautifully soft, warm and comfortable and an individual item which would make a perfect special gift
 
Creation:
The fabric was woven on my Louet floor loom using an 8 shaft deflected doubleweave pattern which results in a lightweight and warm accessory.  Yarn used was fine 2/17nm Lambswool.  After weaving the fringes of 13cm at each end were twisted and the fabric was washed to remove the yarn spinning oils which results in the fabric fulling and softening.
 
Dimensions:
30cm wide by 176cm long with 13cm twisted fringes at each end.

Care:
This item can be washed by hand gently in cool water with minimal agitation dried naturally and pressed.
