Handwoven bright merino wool snood scarf. A cosy and warm accessory with a styish flair. Woven on a floor loom using fine merino lambswool to create a unique one of a kind accessory and thoughtful gift. After weaving the handwoven fabric has been sewn with a piece of repurposed merino lambswool jumper fabric in vibrant blue making use of the upcycled fabric in a sustainable way.
Creation: The fabric for this cowl was woven on a Louet floor loom using a straight 8 pattern. The warp was a variety of brightly coloured yarns with a navy weft yarn. After finishing the fabric was sewn with some merino jumper knitted fabric giving the cowl a little more stretch for easy of styling.
